ZenBusiness Renews at $199. Pennsylvania Itself Charges $7 a Year.

Apply that bias to the opinions below and not to the arithmetic. Every ZenBusiness figure here came off that company's own published rate card in July 2026 and appears unaltered.

Credit Where the Platform Earns It

ZenBusiness builds the most comfortable software in this category and it would be dishonest to begin anywhere else. Formation records, filing deadlines, and delivered documents all sit behind one login, arranged so that an owner who has never run a company can find things without a manual. If what you want is a single console for everything a business files, ZenBusiness is a defensible purchase and this page will not argue you out of it. A Two-Stage Price, Judged at the Stage That Repeats

A business keeps this arrangement for as long as it exists, so $199 is the number that belongs in any honest side-by-side.

What Pennsylvania Actually Charges to Keep a Company Alive

Worth establishing before $199 gets weighed against anything. What Pennsylvania requires of your LLC is an office, not an agent: an address inside the Commonwealth kept continuously on the public record. A business that would rather not supply one may name a contracted provider instead, a Commercial Registered Office Provider, whose name occupies the filing where an address would otherwise go. A business that already has a Pennsylvania street address it does not mind publishing needs no provider at all, ours included, and can list that address and be done.

Set against that duty, the state's own recurring bill is $7. Act 122 of 2022 retired the old ten-year decennial filing and installed a real annual report starting with calendar year 2025, filed by LLCs between the first of January and the end of September, with the first one falling due the year after the company registers. Seven dollars is the entire standing demand. A $199 renewal runs roughly twenty-eight times what the Commonwealth asks, for a duty the Commonwealth spells out the same way regardless of which name occupies the line.

What Ninety-Nine Dollars Contains Here

How to Switch From ZenBusiness in Pennsylvania

The paperwork is called a Statement of Change of Registered Office, the fee is $5, and it goes to the Department of State's corporations bureau, on paper or through Business Filing Services online. That is the entire government side of leaving.

Three points of sequence matter more than the form does. First, your office has to be maintained without interruption, so the replacement is not a follow-up step; the same document that strikes ZenBusiness from the record names the incoming provider or address in the same breath. No edition of the filing exists that would leave that line empty. Second, engage the new provider before you prepare anything, since the form cannot be completed without a successor to write into it. Third, close the ZenBusiness account last, after the Department has processed the change, because ZenBusiness remains the office of record until it does. Any month works. There is no anniversary you have to wait for and no penalty for leaving mid-term, which is what a five dollar exit fee really means.
