Swyft Filings Bills $149 Four Times a Year. Read the Word 'Quarterly'.

What Swyft Does Well

Swyft Filings built its reputation on speed and on getting new companies through formation without confusion, which is a legitimate specialty. Their pricing is also stated rather than concealed; the figure and the billing frequency both appear in public. Nothing on this page accuses them of hiding anything. The argument is about how the stated figure gets read, and about who is doing the misreading.

The Multiplication Nobody Performs

The advertised number is $149. The billing period attached to it is a quarter, not a year. Annualized, twelve months of coverage totals close to $596, and our July 2026 review found no separate opening discount to soften that. Every part of this is disclosed by Swyft. The difficulty is that a buyer comparing agent services scans a column of numbers, sees $149 beside $125 and $199 and $249, and files it near the middle of the range when it belongs at the far end. Quarterly billing shrinks the invoice without shrinking the total, and the mind reliably remembers the invoice.

What the Commonwealth Charges the Same Company

Set that $596 beside what Pennsylvania itself asks for annually and the scale becomes visible. Pennsylvania's requirement is an address, not a person; a firm you pay to occupy that address on your behalf is a Commercial Registered Office Provider, which is the state's own label for the paid version of the arrangement. The recurring government cost of keeping an LLC in good standing here is an annual report at $7, filed between January 1 and September 30 under the system Act 122 of 2022 put in place for 2025. Should you decide the provider was a mistake, correcting the record costs $5.

So the running total the state imposes on your company is seven dollars a year, with a five dollar escape hatch. An annualized $596 is roughly eighty-five times the former. That ratio is not an argument that agent service should be free; a staffed address that catches lawsuits is worth paying for. It is an argument about how far a price can drift from the thing being priced before somebody should notice.

The Same Work, Annually Billed
