Bizee's Free Months Expire Right Around Your First Pennsylvania Report

Get registered agent representation in Pennsylvania for $99 annually. The price covers the registered office address, same-day scanning of legal documents, and state-deadline alerts.

Disclosure up front, because the rest of this is a pricing argument and you should know who is making it. This page belongs to PA Registered Agent.org. We provide the same Pennsylvania function Bizee provides, we charge $99 a year for it, and we would like the business. Bizee's figures below are their published ones as of July 2026, and nothing about how well they perform the work is asserted here.

The Bundle Is Real Value, and It Should Be Said Plainly

Bizee spent most of its existence trading under the Incfile name. Its formation packages carry free agent coverage folded in, and how long that lasts depends on the tier purchased, anywhere from a single quarter up to a full year. For a company forming through Bizee anyway, that is money genuinely not spent, arriving in the stretch of a company's life when nothing has been earned yet and every outlay hurts. Nobody should sneer at a free service that works. The problem with this offer is not the offer. It is the calendar attached to it.

What Happens at the Handoff

The day the free stretch closes, standalone coverage begins billing at $149 a year. Bundled freebies are the single most reliable category of subscription to expire without anyone noticing, because the moment of transition arrives with no invoice, no decision, and no email that reads like a decision. You simply start paying.

Now add Pennsylvania's own calendar to that. The word agent has no home in Pennsylvania's LLC chapter; the duty here is an office maintained in the Commonwealth without interruption, and where a company has no address of its own to publish, it hires a firm authorized to be named in place of one. Pennsylvania calls that firm a Commercial Registered Office Provider. Whoever holds that role is the address the Department of State mails to.

Which matters because of the report. Pennsylvania's annual report is brand new, created by Act 122 of 2022 to replace the old decennial filing and effective from calendar year 2025. It costs $7 for an LLC, files inside a January 1 to September 30 window, and here is the timing point: your first one does not fall in your formation year at all. It falls the calendar year after the company registers. A business that formed with a Bizee package in the spring of one year is looking at its first report deadline the following autumn, which is very often the same season the free coverage runs out and the $149 renewal quietly begins. Two things you were not tracking arrive within weeks of each other, and the state notice about one of them goes to the provider you stopped thinking about.

Two Practical Suggestions, One of Which Costs You Nothing

Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.

The first is free and you can do it without leaving Bizee: find out exactly which month your bundled term expires, write the date somewhere you will see it, and put a second note ahead of the September 30 report window. Doing only that removes most of the risk described above.

The second is us. $99 covers a staffed Pennsylvania address that replaces yours in the entity database, same-day imaging of anything served on it with a notice sent as it posts, and reminders before the report window shuts. Fifty dollars a year separates our rate from Bizee's standalone rate, which is modest; the part we would rather be judged on is that the number does not have an expiry date attached to it.

Cheapest is not a word available to us. BetterLegal's published rate is $90. Ours is $99, near the bottom of the flat annual range rather than at it, and identical in year six.

Leaving Bizee in Pennsylvania: the Short Version

One form, five dollars, filed with the Department of State: the Statement of Change of Registered Office, which our change of agent page covers line by line. The single thing to understand before filing is that the outgoing and incoming offices travel on the same document, because Pennsylvania will not let the address line go empty even for a day, so there is no arrangement in which Bizee comes off the record before your replacement goes on it. Contract first, file second, cancel the old account third.

The best moment to do this is during the free window, while nothing is being charged either way and no deadline is close.
